Go ahead, call this racial profiling

Last week’s Rochester/National news story concerning the May 12 video tapping of a police stop by do-gooder Emily Good was all the rage in the liberal press. It was late at night and Good thought it was a good idea to run to her front yard and begin videotaping a police stop with some black youths inside the car. “Racial Profiling” was the call.

Good was told, politely, to go inside her house. She refused, claiming it was her right to be where she was, doing what she was doing. Good’s video spread like wildfire over the internet catching the eyes of the national news.

After several warnings, Good was arrested for Obstructing Governmental Administration. That arrest set off a ballyhoo of protest and the charges were quickly dropped.

Of course, we did not see the whole video tape, just a selected portion. Of course, it was never revealed that the people in the car that was stopped were suspected gang members. Of course the officer’s safety, as well as that of Good, was not brought out immediately.

Now, of course, Good wants to sue.

Now for some news that will probably label me as a racist and a racial profiler.

According to census figures, it is moving towards an 80%, the number of single mother households in black families. Seems culturally it has developed that black women are having more children out of wedlock and with men who abandon, or never have anything to do with their families. Seems the number of black men in prisons across the U.S. is way out of proportion to the general population. Could it be more black men are committing more crimes? Seems that drug use among Blacks, especially with cheap crack cocaine, etc, is also way out of proportion.

Although Wayne County has a reported 3.1% Black population, the Law & Order pages also have a larger number of Black arrests. Must be racial profiling by this newspaper and local police.

The City of Rochester features regular marches against violence every time a Black kid is killed. Teddy Bears, candles and flowers decorate the scene of the killing and the local news are eager to show the mother crying, stating her kid was turning himself around and planned on becoming a brain surgeon.

All too often there seems to be no man in the picture. All too often, mom has a brood of kids she cannot afford, many with different last names. Gee, there I go racial profiling again.

The liberals demand government do more, police do a better job to quell the violence, and get video tapped at the same time. Meanwhile the Rochester area gets a ‘black’ eye for all those bad cops doing their racial profiling thing. Gee, go figure. When did crime profiling become the liberal’s racial profiling?

Even when the occasional cop gets killed or wounded, there is suspicion to his motives, his situation.

Look, I know there have been cases of racial profiling, even by minority cops, that were totally unjust, but I am smart enough to understand, not justify the reasons. If those Black mothers leading those marches really want to stop the violence to, or by, their children, quit having so many kids with so many guys. Only have children you can support without government assistance. Give your kids a Curfew and Guidance as to right and wrong. There are many Black, Hispanic, and White families who raise children who are productive members of society, and blaming government for the failures is not the answer.
As for Good…I accuse her of police profiling.
