Sports Update – Thursday, April 5th

Boys Varsity Baseball

North Rose-Wolcott 10, Marion 7
Geoff VanDyne struck out nine over six innings for the win. Michael VanFleet went 3-for-3 with a double, two run home runs, and four RBI for the Cougars (3-2). Matt Royer went 3-for-3 with two RBI for the Black Knights (1-3).

Gananda 5, East Rochester 3
Dom Musso struck out six and allowed two hits for the win. Chris Falu-Montes doubled twice with three RBI and freshman Brad Doway was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a stolen base for the Blue Panthers (4-3). Austin Peterson and Matt Burns each drove in a run for the Bombers (1-3).

Girls Varsity Softball

Waterloo 12, Wayne 6
Tori Poplaski hit a two-run double and Tia Aunkst added a three-run double for the Indians (3-0). Caitlin Castle chipped in a double and two RBI for the Indians. Jordan Anthony earned her the win.

Red Creek 25, Clyde-Savannah 11
Red Creek is 1-2.

Boys Varsity Tennis

Mynderse 6, Lyons 0
Josh Cracknell won 6-2, 6-2 at second singles for Mynderse (3-0). Lyons is 0-2.
