On Tuesday, March 20th, Village of Macedon voters headed to the polls to choose a new mayor and elect two trustees.
After Mayor Jim Hoteling stepped down following 16 years as the leader of the Village, two candidates emerged to set their sites on the position.

David Kelly, who has been a Village Trustee for two years, and resident for 36, has held many positions in the Village of Macedon’s Fire Department, including chief. He ran as a long time resident with experience, having owned his own business.

Marie Cramer, who has lived in the Village nearly 20 years, cited her experience on the Village Planning Board and her work with Macedon Village Pride Committee, to show her commitment to her community.
In the end, voters overwhelmingly elected Cramer, 185 to 68. Mayor Cramer will take office on April 2nd, as she presides over her first meeting.

Kelly will retain his seat on the Board of Trustees. Also elected to the two open trustee seats were David Sliney (175) and Donald Lohse. (184).
